Finding a way to positively impact people’s lives and finding ways to give back to society is a key goal and strategy which drives Igho Charles Sanomi II’s activities. Mr Sanomi’s business and philanthropic ideology is heavily influenced by the American steel magnate, Andrew Carnegie, one of the most important philanthropists of his era.
Igho Charles Sanomi II supports a number of humanitarian causes and charities around the world via the Taleveras Group and the Dickens Sanomi Foundation, which he set up in remembrance of his late father. He is an avid conservationist, as evidenced by his passionate support of CERCOPAN, a global NGO dedicated to the preservation of endangered animals in Nigeria through rainforest protection, rehabilitation of individual animals, research and education.
The charities are selected on the basis of impact and effectiveness. Mr Sanomi is currently supporting work with Lifeline Care Association, Global Initiative for Peace, Love and Care (GIPLC) amongst others.
Through the Taleveras Group, Mr Sanomi encourages sports development by sponsoring events such as the Kaduna International Polo Tournament, for which the Taleveras Group fields its own polo team. The Taleveras Group team also competes against other organisations in a variety of sports to help promote local fundraising activities.
As chief visionary of the Taleveras Group, Mr Sanomi ensures that the Group abides by its mandate to promote activities which focus on economic and social development. He has been able to achieve this and more, due to his impressive character which has been incorporated into the business practices of the Group.
Mr Sanomi plans on an early retirement from business that will allow him to focus his energies on philanthropy, family, wildlife conservation and the arts. It is his intention to continue supporting ideas and solutions that will impact his immediate society positively.
